Welcome to this gem of a cottage located at the beginning of the cottage village in Virserum with lovely Virserum Lake within walking distance. You park practically right next to the cottage. A small step up the front terrace, on which there is outdoor furniture, and you reach the cottage's front door. The cabin is well laid out and surface efficient. When you step over the threshold, you are greeted by a small, yet spacious hall where you can put away shoes and hang up outerwear without feeling cramped. Directly to the right inside the front door you will find a very fresh toilet with shower. To the left you are greeted by a smartly planned and recently renovated kitchen that runs along a wall with a large patio door to the terrace at the back. You are also greeted by the living room, which, thanks to smart furniture, accommodates both a sofa group and dining room furniture with room for up to 6 persons. The living room feels airy. From the living room you get to the two bedrooms. A bedroom with a double bed of 140 cm and room for clothes storage, and a bedroom with a family bed where the bottom shelf is 130 cm wide and the top shelf 80 cm wide. These bedrooms are bright and also very fresh. As the owners of the cottage have chosen to use the floor space to the maximum, there is not much floor space, but all socializing takes place naturally in the living room. From the kitchen part of the cabin, you get out onto the balcony via a lovely balcony door with enormous light. The balcony is large and can be partially covered with an awning. There is a seating area for four to six persons and a barbecue. The balcony is relatively new and feels modern with its ribbed roof with glass sections. The cottage is located in the middle of the plot, which means that, despite being at the beginning of the cottage area, it does not feel exposed to a lot of traffic. On the other hand, it is an open plot with visibility from all sides, but occupied, which means that it is as if it was made for those who want to play ball, wheel, play blocks or otherwise move around. A short walk from the cottage is Virserumssjön, one of two nearby bathing spots. The nearest swimming area is perfect for younger children as there is a small sandy beach there, and very shallow. There is also – unusual enough for a lake, lovely with rocks, which gives a certain feeling of an archipelago. Many bays are available for those who bring their own stand up paddle or canoe/kayak. A little further walk away there is another swimming area by the same lake. Here there is a jetty and a bit more bathing options for slightly older children. Around the lake, even the faint-hearted can take a walk or run. The distance will be approximately 7 kilometers and offers a nice view of the surroundings. If, on the other hand, you want to go to a grocery store or restaurant, you have to go to the center of Virserum, which is approximately two kilometers away. There you will find grocery stores as well as finer restaurants and pizzerias. The nature around Virserum is outstanding. You will find, among other things, Dackestupet, a ski resort for downhill skiing located on the southern shore of Lake Virserumsjön. Here you can also find the Dackeslingan and opportunities to engage in trail cycling, technical training, bike tours, trail running and various hikes along trails, during the summer months. Not far from Virserum you also have Astrid Lindgren's World, Målilla Moose Park, Sweden Zipline, Kleva Gruva and dress cycling. In central Virserum there is also an art gallery that is well worth a visit! In short – there is an incredible amount to experience during a holiday here, and what could feel better than starting from this cabin while you discover everything that Småland has to offer?
