The company was formed during 1910 started with Gold Mining and later diversified into Coffee plantations. During 1930 all major plantations owned by them in Wayanad were converted to Tea. Each Tea tree in this plantation has a story to tell. The struggle of humans who engaged in this plantation for their livelihood is beyond explanation.The spaces like the dining hall, corridors and the living room are shared spaces that guests can use. The grounds and the tea plantation around the bungalow is not out of bounds.Wayanad is a place with a colorful past, a fast-paced present and a promising future. It is a fascinating place for every visitor. Ripon is a collection of relics of the past that imbues Wayanad with its vigorous energy today. Rippon is a plantation hamlet on the Ooty road near Meppadi town in Wayanad. Tea cultivation is the main economic activity in this region there is some small scale vegetable cultivation in this region. Most of the people living in this locality are workers in various tea estates. The small town of Meppadi cater to locals and the tourists who come to enjoy the salubrious climate of the place.The main tourist attractions in Wayanad are Kanthanpara Water falls, Soochipara Falls, Meenmutty Falls, Edakkal Caves, Pookot Lake, Chembra Peak, Karapuzha Dam, Vellarimala, Sunrise valley, Banasura Dam, Thanhilode and the wildlife sanctuaries Mutthanga and Tholpetty.Our location cannot be accurately pinned on the map. Please do call us for directions once you reach Rippon on the Meppadi Road (also Known as Ooty Road) from Kalpetta. Regret the inconvenience.We are located off the Ooty road. You can reach Rippon using public transport or by taxi from Kalpetta.We can arrange for your transportation at an extra cost.As we are located away from the main town, the Wifi would not be fast at times.
