Positive: The location of this homestay is excellent. Since I was attending a course at Tergar Oselling Monastery, I needed a place within a convenient 30-minute walk. From here, it only takes 20 minutes to walk up the hill, and there’s a shortcut you can take that saves quite a bit of commuting time. Aside from the guesthouses located halfway up the mountain, this is probably one of the closest options available. There are a laundry shop and a pharmacy nearby. You do have to walk a little bit to get to the restaurants, but they offer fantastic views—we visited Skyline and Royal Tree many times. The host is incredibly welcoming. On our check-in day, they helped us resolve several issues and sorted out some basic amenities. Whenever we had questions later on, they were always readily available to help. The apartment itself is also great. It has a spacious living room, a kitchen, and a fridge. It manages to be both quiet and safe, and you can call a taxi to pick you up right at the front door. If I really had to point out any downsides, it would be that we needed two beds, and the living room is a bit dark—you have to turn the lights on if you stay inside during the day. However, since we were out most of the day and really just needed a place to sleep, it didn't bother us much. We made it a habit to say hi to the host's dog every time we went out. The poor dog has some issues with its legs, which made me feel quite sorry for it, but it was heartwarming to see it grow so affectionate towards us over time. This is the first time I've stayed in one place in Nepal for so long. I am very grateful to the host for providing this space and for their attentive care.
