Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: I enjoyed visiting Sawantwadi town. The ancient palace ,Moti Talao,Hapus Mangoes, Local Malvani food and wooden toys are the highlights of this place. Amboili Ghats and Goa is approx 30 kms distance from Sawantwadi. Gennys Farmhouse is a spacious bungalow .The accomodation alloted to me by the Host Mr Fernandes was a huge hall, a Air condiioned Bedroom, and a spacious washroom with 24 hours hot and cold running water. Towels, soap and Shampoo sachets was provided.The Bedsheets were neat and clean. I was told that Kitchen facilities is available . Provision is there for laundry too. The host Mr Fernandes is very Gracious and warm.The farmhouse is surrounded by different fruit trees. We were allowed use of additional rooms without any cost. The Bungalow is road touching. The caretaker Mr Naik is available to run errands. The Bungalow is nicely maintained.Unlike hotels there is lots of place to move around .The Entrance opens into the courtyard. There was adequate Parking space for my Baleno Car. The rates I paid ie Rs 1350/- approx per day was very economical and pocket friendly. This farmhouse is situated about 1.5 kms from the Main city . Well known Arekars hotel serving local food is within ten minutes walking distance of the farmhouse Autos are available round the clock.The walking distance to the main centre is approx 12 minutes. We ordered food on Zomato which was delivered on time. Planing to visit Amboli waterfalls in the Monsoon. Will surely stay at this Farmhouse .

Negative: It's 1.5 km away from main centre. Since it's farm house it can be excused.
